A BOOM BOOM TULLE

fremantle wedding at star of the sea church and moore & Moore cafe

A ballet slippered italian beauty and her vintage capped beau had a wedding that defied classification! It was traditional, meets glam, meets vintage, meets minimal… all the things that they chose were just a reflection of their personal tastes and it worked.

Leah & Shane

The “no such thing as too much tulle” dress was a textural statement - custom designed by Ingrid Hocking. It paired beautifully with Leah’s sleek hair and big hoops – AND that red lipstick. Artist Ash Brockman in his element.

Shane honoured his taste in his dapper waistcoat and flat cap.

Their church ceremony at Star of the Sea in Cottesloe felt blessed with morning light that made the pastel hues glow. Stained glass & lovely uplight doing their finest work.

The bridal party was their sister and brother which made it very simple and intimate to photograph. I see the benefit in not wrangling too many folk when you get your photos and keeping it as just family.

The group sauntered through the streets of Fremantle, visiting the bar where they first met and ending with an impromptu beach visit for a soft sunset.

Then they joined an assemble of their favourite folk at Moore & Moore which was lined with simple little posies by A Little Bohemia and one gorgeous Crochenbouche cake!

I feel this wedding shows that you don’t need to go over the top to express yourself, instead focus on quality details where it counts most. Then put the rest of your energy in having a darn good time. Having real fun is the best style of all.
